What is the Difference Between Being Mentally Hurt and Being Offended?
Q. Mentally Hurt in a way that your feelings are hurt, not the physical hurt like punch in the stomach. Think of this... You say that you never get hurt mentally but you get Offended instead of hurt.
Asked by John - Sat May 3 09:38:21 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You can be offended without being mentally hurt. Angry, annoyed or irritated are common responses to being offended. You generally get over it quickly and forget about it. Mentally hurt is more likely to evoke a deeper response. It takes longer to let it go. There may be anger and all that, but likely there will also be sadness. For instance when your mother dies, you will likely be mentally hurt, not offended.

Why does it hurt when you start growing in your wisdom teeth?
Q. I think i know the answer but my boyfriend has a different opinion. so i want to find out who is right. I say it is because the tooth is ripping your gums. its like when your a baby and your growing your 1st tooth, it hurts cause your tearing the gum. but then afterward when you loose your baby tooth n grow new ones it doesnt hurt because the hole is already there in the gum. Now my boyfriends opinion is because there is no room for the tooth to grow thats why it hurts. So who is right? me with my opinion of because it's tearing the gum or my boyfriend who thinks there no room for the tooth?

A. I think you're both right. You already know that erupting teeth can be irritating to the gums. If you don't remember, your mom probably does. Sometimes, 3rd molars (wisdom teeth) take awhile to come in, so the irritation can last a long time. Also (for the smart boyfriend), most people don't have room for their wisdom teeth and when they can't find space to erupt, they tend to grow sideways or otherwise, often crowding the roots of the 2nd molars. Some people experience jaw pain and headaches associated with wisdom teeth. Most people have their wisdom teeth removed between the ages of 16 and 21. Some (like me) wait much longer. Usually, a person heals faster and with fewer complictions if they're younger. Also, once teeth are badly… [cont.]

How do you deal with others without getting hurt and you hurting them?
Q. People use to hurt me a lot and now I hurt them. It's easier to hurt than to be kind and for people to eventually betray you. Those people will get my bitchy side. I need advice. This is not the way I want to be. it's a quick fix and not intelligent.

How much does it hurt to get your belly button pierced?
Q. I really wanna get it pierced but first i want to know how much it hurts! I've never gotten my ears pierced or anything so i dont really know what to expect! I have a pretty good pain tolerance, but i want to know how much it hurt for YOU!

A. What happens is they do it really fast with a needle. You can defiantly feel a little pinch but it happens so fast that it barley hurts at all. Although the downside is that after a while it does start to hurt a little. It takes about 1-2 years to completely heal, so it will be REALLY easy to get infections (and they hurt the most.) You can't go in hot tubs or swimming pools that have chlorine in them. If you do get one, be extra careful for infections. Be sure to clean it twice a day.

How much does it hurt to get your cartilage peirced?
Q. I want to get mine pierced, but I'm just scared of how much it will hurt. I have 3 piercings in my ear already, so as the piercings go higher up the ear, I know it hurts more because each one hurt more than the last since the skin got thicker. Also, does it hurt more or less than a nose piercing? I felt like my nose piercing killed worse than the other 3, but it stopped hurting after a week.
Asked by Trix Is My Kryptonite - Fri Jul 18 11:37:34 2008 - - 11 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Here is the scoop. I have had a lot of piercings, nine of them were in my ears. The two toughest places to heal were my nose and my upper ear. The cartilage in your ear takes a long time to heal. I have had four piercings in the cartilage on my ear and each piercing took a full six months to heal. It hurt every day, I could not sleep on that ear, I had to clean it every single day. It was a pain but worth it once they healed. The initial peiricng will probably be a little less painful than the nose. Remember everyone is different. I have read that it could take a full year for a cartilage piercing to heal. If the initial pain is all you are worried about then you should have no problems. It is the after care that will be painful. [cont.]

How much does a tongue piercing hurt compared to an eyebrow piercing?
Q. I got my eyebrow pierced last night, and the worst part was the clamp. It hurt about the same as someone biting your eyebrow. I want to get my tongue pierced next week, since I've been planning on it for a while. On a scale of one to ten, the eyebrow was about a four. Double the rest of your cost of living on almost everything else you use to exist. The con is designed to raise costs to consumers and profits to the companies and organizations engaged in the con,

How long do braces hurt? And how often do you need to brush your teeth with braces?
Q. For the first 2 hours and 30 minutes with braces I felt no pain, that is until after I brushed my teeth. How long will this hurt? Do you need to brush your teeth every time after you eat with braces?

A. You should brush them after every meal, not every time you eat. At school, I don't bring a tooth brush to lunch, but my orthodontist said that you should swish a drink in your mouth after you eat to at least get some of the food out of your braces.

A. It would hurt as bad as it would for anyone else. The pain comes from nerves outside the cup and from the dislocation and stretching of various muscles and tendons. You'd probably get out of work, but it would be because you're actually injured, you wouldnt be just poppin it back in and goin on vacation lol

Q. I have MDI (Mulit-dimensional Instability) in both shoulders, particularly my left one. Everytime I roll my shoulder back, it almost dislocates with the ball of my arm on the edge of the "cup". I want to get out of work for awhile, so if my shoulder already almost dislocates, how bad would it hurt to go the whole way? Would it be worth it?
