Q. I just got my upper lip pierced where marilyn monroe had her mole. I got it dont 2days ago. It is slightly swollen and it hurts when I move my mouth. Is that normal?

I'm going away for 8 days, and was wondering if it was possible/okay to get it done a day or two before I leave, leave the jewelry in for those 8 days, then on the 9th day, put in a clear plastic retainer. A. Your best bet would be to get it pierced with a glass quartz retainer. Then you would be able to have it for work. You won't be able to change the jewelry for at least 8 weeks though. What is causing my monroe piercing to keep getting a bubble above it?
Q. My monroe will heal, then a bubble filled with puss will appear pretty much overnight. then it will heal, and get another bubble/bump. My piercer doesn't know what's wrong and I KNOW , soak it in salt water.. nothing helps. has ne one else had this problem?

A. I wouldn't suggest bactine. I've seen nothing but bad things when that stuff is used on piercings. I would suggest H2Ocean. It's a sea salt solution already mixed in a sanitized bottle. It's sold at most piercing shops, and online, and is absolutely fabulous. Another thing to try is tea tree oil. It smells kinda weird, but it works like a charm. Either of these should work as long as you keep steady with them. Try not to touch the piercing or infected area either, because it'll get dirtier. You could be touching it in your sleep if it's getting infected over night. Maybe put a bandage on it at night to avoid any unneeded contact. Good luck!

A. depends exactly where you have your ears pierced. cartilage hurts the most and a monroe is nothing compared to that. lip piercings dont hurt that much. belly buttons hurt worse, and nost piercings, the stud kinds dont hurt that much but septums do.tattoos are totally different than piercings, so i cant compare. but it def. didn't hurt at all i could hardly feel it.

Should I rinse with salt water (non-iodized sea salt) or just clean the outer area with that mix? Is it ok to wash my face with acne-fighting soap? How often should I use (non-alcoholic) mouthwash? To the answer above, their are many stories that proves that Marilyn Monroe had some plastic surgery done on her face. Personally, I prefer Elizabeth Taylor and Lena Horne over Marilyn Monroe but that is my opinion.

Q. I do not see why people say she is the most beautiful woman who has ever lived. She is not all the that. I think plenty of women now in modern hollywood are just as cute. What is it about Marilyn Monroe that makes her a classic beauty?

A. She was beautiful for the era of time. She came out with this blond bombshell looks and voluptuous body. She was comfortable in her skin, her sexuality was booming and she wasn't like the typical actress of that era!
